Friday, September 8 was a great day for the 24th annual Pink Ribbon Golf Classic! The sold out tournament raised an amazing $35,386. This brings the historical grand total raised through this event to more than $646,500.

Positron emission tomography (PET) is an important tool in the diagnosis and staging of cancer, including re-staging throughout treatment.
This new PET scanner is not only an investment to the Cancer Center, but also to the medical community within the 15-county service area as the June E. Nylen Cancer Center has the only permanent PET scanner in the 75-mile area.

Nylen Cancer Center recently helped to determine some ways to put unrestricted donations raised over the last fiscal year to great work within the organization. While some of the unrestricted funds were set aside for strategic priorities and ongoing patient programs and support services, all employees had an opportunity to submit a Request for Funding for an idea that would improve patient care. enhance our programs and services, or expand our mission. A committee made up of employee representatives from each department reviewed and scored all of the requests. The Committee then met and finalized the allocation of funds.
